Doty FamilyMy wife Amy and I had the pleasure of first meeting Beckie during in August of 2007. While visiting friends in a development close to our existing home, we noticed a house for sale which had great curb appeal. Our home was not for sale at the time and we had no plans to purchase a new home.

On a whim we called Beckie and asked to see this particular listing. We were impressed with her style, knowledge and profes sionalism. Her demeanor was relaxed and we never felt any pressure to steer us in any direction.

We had no agent representing us at the time. We felt comfortable enough with Beckie to forgo the assistance of a buyer's agent. The negotiations progressed. There were bumps in the road that we had to deal with and Beckie kept her cool the entire time. Sh e made the deal happen. My wife and I and the sellers were very happy with the way Beckie assisted all of us. I have purchased and sold eleven houses in my life. This transaction was one of the smoothest I can remember.

When we signed the contract for our new home, our existing home was not for sale. We did not know we were going to purchase a new home. Every house I had sold previously I did so "BY OWNER". I never saw the value in using a real estate agent. Beckie changed my mind completely.

We enlisted Beckie to sell our existing home. She had several different sales plans at several different price points. Her most extravagant plan provided far more services than I thought any Agent would do and it is about a third cheaper than what other real estate agents charge for basic services. It was a slam dunk no brainer in our opinion.

Beckie went to work immediately and so did we. She told us what she felt we needed t o do to our home to make it as attractive as possible to potential buyers. Everything she suggested made sense and we did as she suggested.

This was the fall of 2007 when the real estate market took a severe turn for the worst. Beckie kept her cool the entire time. She always kept a very positive attitude in the face of a severe down turn in the real estate market. We had a solid contract in about 46 days at a price we were extremely happy with. The closing went flawlessly.

Beckie is a professional. She can sell your home and she will negotiate a deal on your new home that will save you far more than the cost of her services. The icing on the cake is Beckie makes what could be a nightmare experience become a very pleasurable one. I will never buy or sell another home without using the services of Becky Townsend.

Darla and I have been meaning to sit down and send you a letter thanking you for all of the professional real estate assistance that you have provided us over the last number of years.

If we are not mistaken you have assisted us and other family members to one degree or another with the sale of three homes, the purchase of three homes as well as the purchase of three investment properties. Most of these were traditional full service sale/purchase transactions however in one case you assisted with the sales agreement and closing and in another you simply assisted with the purchase agreement in a for sale buy owner purchase that we made.

It has been a pleasure to deal with a professional that not only understands that certain buyers and sellers need varying degrees of services but also to deal with someone as knowledgeable of market conditions in numerous counties. We sold or purchased properties in Forsyth, Gwinnett, Jackson and Rabun counties with you and in all cases your local knowledge of the market was exceptional.

I think the one single thing that stands out in our dealings with you was the purchase of our current home in Polo Fields. At the time we were living in Olde Atlanta Cub and were interested in upgrading to a larger home in a private golf community. We gave you a price range from $550,000 to $850,000 and we viewed numerous homes in this price range from Chateau Élan to Bears Best; and most of them were in the higher end of the range. When you called about a listing in the Polo Fields in the $550,000 range we felt there had to be something wrong with it. Based on what we had looked at so far in our search we didn’t believe it was possible for the home to meet our requirements; at that price level. Darla and I went through the house from top to bottom and couldn’t find a thing wrong with it and with your help we purchased it for $515,000. Most realtors (sales people) will by nature try to focus the buyer on the higher end of the price range not the lower end.

We are very happy with the home you found for us and every time I think about our buying it I thank you for saving us $200,000 to $300,000.
